Anja was born and raised in Switzerland. After studying Fine Arts at the École des Beaux Arts du Valais in Sierre, Switzerland, Anja decided to continue her studies abroad. She came to Canada where she studied Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba and also obtained a diploma in photography at Red River College.

Anja has made Winnipeg her home ever since and has continued her work as an artist, selling her artwork in Europe and Canada. Her work includes painting, drawing, photography, illustration, ceramics and sculpture. Over the past couple of years Anja has added designing purses, bags, textile art and sterling silver jewelry to her portfolio. The textile products as well as the silver jewelry are produced using recycled materials, showing that art can be green!
